Advanced Fluidic Control System >
Continuous Bioprocessing
The accelerated development and scale-up of COVID-19 vaccines has shown what can be achieved by biopharmaceutical manufacturing but has emphasized the need to find ways to quickly and reliably develop and manufacture life changing drugs and therapies at scale.
BiologIC is helping address some of the manufacturing challenges faced in the pharmaceutical industry by increasing flexibility and sustainability, reducing batch failures and paving the way towards real-time product release of biopharmaceutical drugs.
BiologIC's Advanced Fluidic Control System will enable the control of continuous flow between unit operations through inline sensing and process adaptation. The system will also enable new processes such as continuous flow viral inactivation.
BiologIC is working with industry leading partners including Pall Corporation, Centre for Process Innovation, Biopharm Services and SCIEX.
Advanced controls to accelerate therapy manufacturing
Our UK-based
consortium has announced the launch of a project aiming to develop
automated manufacturing controls for use in the manufacture of biologics. The
project, worth a total of £3.1m, has received support from Innovate UK,
including equipment contributions, to develop this advanced technology.
